Sophie's World by Jostein Gaarder... it takes a form of a novel but it is a breif introduction to philosphy and how it changed since ever till now... I recommend it... is good...

I think that art changes the way we percieve and understand things... and if you change a little bit of a person's self then you can create a bigger change on a society or bigger levels...
