Feelings are a representation of our needs. Whenever you feel something (love, hate, anger, etc) always try think of the need that this feeling is trying to tell you. So, if you feel anger, you should FOCUS on the need that this anger is trying to tell you.

When you travel with someone, his/her personality will become more accessible to you, as different aspects will come into light than in ordinary cases.

In a recent research published in the June issue of Harvard Business Review, the authors found that to have a better strategy execution companies need 4 pillars (designing Information flows, having clear decision rights, aligning motivators, and changing structure). COmpanies tend to rely on structural changes to their org charts as it seems the obvious way to have the strategy executed.

Researchers and filmmakers imagine year 2050. For some reason I always visit IBM site. This company makes lots of research, and shares it. It is true that this is done for their benefit, but their research is valuable.

You know the power of metaphors. They are a great way to simplify things/issues we come to be interested in, and they also help us to explore the issue at stake from that metaphor perspective. What I want here is that we build a great list of metaphors that we can think of, remember. So, let me start with a very known one: 1. Life is a battle!

It never stops to amaze me how bad our educational systems are. I will just refer to one thing. It is the lack of students abilities' to extract the "structure" of the subject matter. Only few have this ability and practice it. Those are the smart ones, who unconsciously, "know how to" do it again and again in different situations and with regard to different subject matters.

Imagine that Steve Jobs is the CMO (or even the CEO) of Microsoft, What will be changed? Actually, I want to pose the question differently... Imagine Jobs as the CEO of any Arab company... what changes will he make :)

You are older than your kid by nearly 30 years. How would you raise your kids given this generation gap in a region suffering very intense change. You know you can't impose your ideals... and on the other hand, you don't approve the new ideals/values... How would you act?

I have been looking at the quests and discoveries on this site, and paying some attention to the number of views and answers for many of the entries. It is pretty amazing how low the numbers are. What are the reasons in your opinion?

Does "Information" qualify to name our age the "Information age" as we always tend to name it? Is "Information" the most basic quality of our age.. Is it really what the societies on this globe cares about. Is there another "entity" or "process" that is more vital? The question also applies to the "Internet" as well. So, is the "Internet" the most important fact of our lives?

In discussions related to innovation, more emphasis is put on ideas (new ideas actually) than on tools that help coming up with these ideas. THat is true when you look at the end result, but, in the history of science I found that certain tools were indispensable to the progress of human kind.
