Does the current economic crisis in the US, which is being transmitted to other countries prove that Marx was right?

Does "Information" qualify to name our age the "Information age" as we always tend to name it? Is "Information" the most basic quality of our age.. Is it really what the societies on this globe cares about. Is there another "entity" or "process" that is more vital? The question also applies to the "Internet" as well. So, is the "Internet" the most important fact of our lives?

At CERN, scientists were trying to mimic the early conditions of the Big bang. There were some ideas that this might result in small "Black Holes" that can make the Earth vanish in a faction of a moment. Despite the fact that we are still here, what do you think of this approach: In order to prove some theories, scientists take some measures and do experiments that makes our human existence threatened?

Imagine that Steve Jobs is the CMO (or even the CEO) of Microsoft, What will be changed? Actually, I want to pose the question differently... Imagine Jobs as the CEO of any Arab company... what changes will he make :)

I don't have statistics, but from what I heard, it is phenomenal to me, that the TV Turkish series "Noor" got such popularity in Jordan at least. I am wondering why. ANy insights?

In discussions related to innovation, more emphasis is put on ideas (new ideas actually) than on tools that help coming up with these ideas. THat is true when you look at the end result, but, in the history of science I found that certain tools were indispensable to the progress of human kind.

In the first part of the Matrix trilogy, "Morpheus" was telling "Neo": "I said I will tell you the truth, but I didn't say it is going to be easy". This brings out the difference between "knowing" and "experiencing". Do you think they are different. Can "knowing" have the same effect as "experiencing"?

Some one is telling you that: "I can't see what you are after". What would you do? What is your response to such a phrase?

A great idea is not necessarily the one that tells you the right thing to be done, but may be the one that inspires you to think more.... What do you think

What does mean to "think" about something? You know it? Well, what does it really mean to know something? How about if we say we "reproduce" that entity that we think about in terms of: - mental images of that entity - Feelings and attitudes towards that entity - and if we are luck a 'set of procedures" of how to influence and change it. To think about an entity is, as it seems, a certain type of "PRACTICE", a practice (a praxis) that changes its subject. Interesting is that the tools of this practice are part of the subject of the practice. They also change while we delve into the subject.

You are older than your kid by nearly 30 years. How would you raise your kids given this generation gap in a region suffering very intense change. You know you can't impose your ideals... and on the other hand, you don't approve the new ideals/values... How would you act?

I have been looking at the quests and discoveries on this site, and paying some attention to the number of views and answers for many of the entries. It is pretty amazing how low the numbers are. What are the reasons in your opinion?
