i am researching "news." Therefore, would you please log a news item that you have read, heard of, listened to at the end of each day and try to include where you got the information from; i.e. friend, CNN online, etc.? i am trying to analyze where we get most of our news information from and what news mostly attracts our attention. What is gender? How would you define it? What makes a person a certain gender rather than another? In Arabic there are two translations for the word gender- the first is النوع الإجتماعي Alnaou' Alijtimai' (the social type) or جندرة Jandara (which is a phonetic translation of gender). What defines one's gender?

In the world, which in your opinion has more power- gender or skin color? I ask because the presidential 'race' in the USA is bringing these issues into debate. Perhaps the answers are also location sensitive; i.e. USA vs. Colombia. What do you think?
