Yesterday, i saw a woman turning around in her car seat to beat the crap out of whichever child her ragging fist hit. Tiny kids sat in the back getting these blows. i honked to tell her someone can see what she is doing. My friend said it was none of my business. The police car right next to her did nothing. How much longer will child and woman battery be a private issue? When will we all honk our horns?

A man broke my self esteem regarding romantic relationships; when i told this to a friend of mine, she said "why do you let him?" At first, i thought what she said was unkind; why should i blame myself for these feelings? Now, a day later, i think she was on to something: if he was unkind to me, i should not be unkind to myself. With time i'll rebuild my self esteem, until then i'm treading life lightly.
