Today I checked the site and if the world votes then these are the results

Barack Obama 87.1% (671,435 votes)
John McCain 12.9% (99,546 votes)

Total number of votes: 770,991
Countries voted from: 212

I wonder how the americans will vote! only a few hours left to finding out the fate of that nation!

I recommend that you contact them and let them know your frustrations... also read their FAQs perhaps it will give some insight to their motivations.

As for the term americans in the rest of the world that is the adjective used to describe peoples of the USA, that is the nationality. Canadians are from Canada, Brazilians are from Brazil...etc you get the point. And if we are refrering to the continents it is North MAericans and South Americans. Growing up we rarely used American to descibe people from both continents, it was always clear to us.

I must say it is interesting to hear you make this comment. If you go back the site and read thei other pages you notice that they are not from the US and so the subtle difference is lost.

Oh also, what sort of democracy is it when there are only two parties that have always been the same political parties being covered for the elections? We might as well have one party running and lets get it over with. Democracy shmocracy!

I second your observation Razano. There are other parties and individuals who deserve much more support and respect and representation than the two far too similar parties who have the playing field. When will they have equal rights of speech and representation?

I get so annoyed when sites like that claim that America is the United States of America. "November 4th 2008 the American people will choose a new president." This is not a correct statement. The citizens of the United States of America will be voting for a new president. Not the American people. The American people are of North American, Central America, and South America. The peoples of these states are not choosing a new president, only those who live in the USA. Really, really, we are so full of ourselves and insist that the world revolves around us. Well, it should not and the world should refuse this claim.

One thing I didn't like about this site is that its total dismissal of the green party option Cynthia McKinney and Rosa Clemente. http://votetruth08.com/
