I think you can make your own luck... by making sound decisons and placing your self in the right place at the right time and through the right means.

It took someone to point that out to me and how what I thought was luck was a result of my hard work to get there and bring these opportunities to me ... so in a way you work hard to line up the stars in your favor...

I believe life is one third hard work, on third luck, and one third opportunity. One could argue that opportunity is similar to luck, but I think its not. You can have lots of opportunities that you don't use. Luck is luck, if you create it then its hard work or seizing an opportunity.
