I am trying to find an outlet for a very smart young man who is into computers and is around 11 but not from a well to do family. So I was wondering if there are any community centers that offer computer courses or just even labs for the boy to experiment.

You might want to check ZENID (The Queen Zain Al-Sharaf Institute for Development) out. Their site is http://www.zenid.org.jo/. What i know is that They have a high tech computer lab. They might also be able to direct you elsewhere.
