tip Have you ever felt exposed when reading a story, a poem, or a song lyrics as if the writer just took a peak into your life?

i like that you used the word "exposed," it makes your question specific to a moment of having your secretes be discovered not like other quests of whether or not we find that music and literature relevant to our lives.

i have felt some books (sentences and specific scenes in books) expose my secretes. Sometimes i feel that the writer sat with me and wrote my private story; certain sentences would be taken directly from my life. Spooky!

like Salma I too wouldnt use exposed but yes I do sometimes feel that the music I hear is plugged into my life... there was a time when that happened everyday! I wrote about it over a year ago, today I may veer away from my opnion and say that we perhaps seek these things subconsiously and so when we hear something in tune with our lives we amplify it and when its not we mute it.

I wouldn't use the word exposed but more like connect with the story poem or song.

That, to me, is a good writer/artist!

I have many times, you randomly start your music player and then oups a song comes out so indicative of whatever your feeling.

I do and they're all posted on my facebook. I use youtube as my mood indicator and post songs that express my moods. That's what's wonderful about  music poetry and such, sometimes someone else has said it better & more eloquently than you could ever dream...
