My wish for 2012 is that we establish our first publicly announced contact with aliens. If it turns out to be the end of the world, it'll be a big bummer for me!

Actually, when I said "THE END IS NEAR" I had Chicken Little in mind :)
I use that phrase whenever multiple disasters hit in a short period of time :) I also use it when they make a scientific breakthrough, like cloning and robotics :)
you guys remind me of the story in which the chicken goes around crying out the sky is falling... look it up.
The end is probably near.. but I don't like thinking about it, I'm living today like I did yesterday! I'm living my life, nothing should change!
Husam why do you think the end is near... earthquakes happen because plates are grinding against each other... the pressure needs to be released. It will be interesting to see what the research comes up with.
Add San Diego to the list as well, but it was too mild to report but strong enough to be felt.
