It depends on the receiver...

For some, action alone dosn't deliver the full message...they need to listen to the message we try to communicate by our actions.

For others, just spare them the noise and don't speak :-) you're slightest actions are better than a million word.

Lesson I learnt: act before speaking, so when you speak, you are credible.

I agree with Alam & Zeenoo that both has its own role on both political & social levels. Speaking out is an action by itself.

But on a daily interaction with people which is more truthful, to hear someone says I am here for you, or you see him/her knocking on your door. We need to hear calming assuring words but we need actions to support them.

Yes they do. Most of the times. But i agree with Alma, sometimes words are the real actions. to stand up in front of a group and speak your mind knowing they might object, disagree and alienate you.

i think that depends on where you are in the world: in Jordan, where there is no room for freedom what so ever, i find that if we just write or speak out then we are taking the first steps that might one day allow for action to speak.

We should support gray areas- this or that... man we have to move away from that. Both work, both are good, both do their role in society.

So, i encourage you to use your words- they too are action.
