tip Yesterday, i saw a woman turning around in her car seat to beat the crap out of whichever child her ragging fist hit. Tiny kids sat in the back getting these blows. i honked to tell her someone can see what she is doing. My friend said it was none of my business. The police car right next to her did nothing. How much longer will child and woman battery be a private issue? When will we all honk our horns?

She's done what she knew and was brought up to be.

If she knew better, maybe, she might have acted better.

Yes it's time to honk our horns so "newness" can spread in the air and people, including us, can start acting differently.

Did you take her license plate number? And maybe a picture? You could report it to the hotline run by JRF. At least for child abuse the systems are imporving tenfold and there are measures starting to be put in place for this.

And I disagree with your friend when an oppressor is not called out on what they are doing they will continue. Our silence implies our approval and I dont think anyone approves of punching children!

On a related topic did you go to the protest this past week re violence against children? It was at Ras Al Ein and there was huge turn out.
