tip History dictates that there are always 1-2 super powers in the world; what would the US (the current supper power) need to do in order to become a super power the world respects?

I agree with the fact that it's a contradiction, yet here is an interview with some lady talking about US foreign policy and steps into making the US more "humble", very interesting to read what she has to say and how people like her think...

You could not be a super power and gain respect from the whole world... There is a trade off!

Power means control, and nations dislike to get controlled from other countries.

I have yet to llook back and see a super power that has not risen to such a status with out oppersion of others.

Respect is between equals.

I agree with Alma, I think that the only time any super power is respected, is:

A. When it’s an underdog and a threat to the current super power

B. When a new super power takes over, people tend to compare, and reminisce and say it was good in the old days when...

This question is an oxymoron; a nation cannot be a super-power and be respected. By default power is corrupt, therefore, once in a position of power at that scale corruption becomes part of the package, thus people would disrespect the power.
