If you mean dating then I guess online is much easier, but don't take this answer for granted since I don't have any experience in dating was it online or off line :))

If you mean any kind of people, then it depends on the person, for me I prefer to meet Osama,Yanal, Ahmed in person any givin day. But in general meetings online is much easier.

For dating purposes I find it easier to meet people online, only because both people have the interest in dating up front without any game play. But meeting friends of friends in person is much safer in another way because you never know much truth about the people you meat online. A combination of both ways worked for me so far!
