It is ridiculous haven't they heard of AIP's (Annonymous Internet Providers!) :-) Where there is technology and a will with a bit of know how there you will find a loophole and a gateway to get around censorship and futile control.
I think its a weak's man try at controling what can't be controlled as much any more, that is the freedom to find information anytime anywhere. I agree with Shalabieh that there is always a workaround and the internet is such a huge space to censor. Its so frustrating to see countries like Saudi, Pakistan and Syria still at this weak spot censoring out websites from their citizens. I mean when will these people get it!
I think as people we already self censor a lot, and to have someone censor for me is insulting. What are they trying to protect? Is it an ethical moral code? Or is it to continue to influnce people and use propoganda to their advantage. In both cases its bullshit. A moral code of ethics can not be imposed and if it is the later in this day and age it is pointless and useless with the flood of infomation available.
There will always be a work around.
