tip Why is the Easter Holiday not celebrated on the first Sunday of each April anymore (in Jordan)??

In Jordan we celebrate a western Xmas and an Eastern Easter - the christians follow two different calanders and that is why easter is based on a 40 day calculation from a certain date - based on the eastern calander (not sure which date it is specifically) and will differ slightly from year to year.

 

hope this helps. With all the changes to what is and isnt a holiday i can no longer remember off the top of my head if we get Easter Sunday as a day off. I know Christians get sunday and monday off though.
