I agree, it solely depends on the story you want to tell and how you want to tell it. My point being, you don't "have" to think it being complex. Anyone with these tools can tell a great story.
Yes and No, Short films shouldn't be hard to be done, however, you cannot shoot a film using a Mobile (Bio films... maybe). You will loose the "Lights...Camera...Action" syndrome and feeling of acting against professional camera and crew!!!
