How important is his religion? It is amazing how topics between persons develop. This here is an interesting example.

Barack Obama is a Christian, was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago,  untill he resigned his membership from this particular church partly because of the inflammatory remarks by the former pastor Rev. Wright.

His father was originally Muslim but became an atheist, and his mother was a self proclaimed atheist. Her parents were Unitarian.

So he says he's Christian?

About a month a ago on GMA, a poll was conducted asking the public if they believe that Obama is a Muslim, around 60% said yes!

Yes he is marketing himself, being commercial, by addressing the concerns of all American parties (The Jews being the mother of all parties!), but (I think) also to downplay any doubt about his Christianity, putting an end to all speculations...

This is very typical of US presidential candidates, swearing their loyalty to Israel, many has done it over the years. Why would Obama be different?

Well, then he shouldn't over-use terms like change, and I'm different, change the Washington game..

For me, he's more hypocritical then Mac Cain, at least this last guy was honest about where he stands right from beginning, and his people choose him for that!

This is comical; Obama used to attend pro-Palestine events when he was in Chicago. I understand this position: he wants to become president of the United States and in order to do that he must support Israel and the war on terror. No biggie. This is the way it is. We should not ask him to be different from other US presidents just because he is a Black man. Do not scapegoat him, it isn’t fair.
