tip When I am focused on an issue, almost everything that happens around me becomes related to this issue; seemingly random points connect. Is that how issues are generally; connected, or am I connecting points that are not truly relevant to one another?

i also find that most issues are connected in the world. Knowing that, i find it incredible that humans are short sighted when it comes to analysing life. i have a friend who is a white male from the US who was telling me that he is going to a Palestinians' Right of Return demonstration in another city five hours away from where he lives. i had to ask him why he was going to a demonstration that isn't about him and he said that he would like the public schools in his city to be better funded; i.e. more money into education and less into the military. He said all things are connected. The money that the US puts into supporting Israel does not only affect Palestinians, it affects him, his neighborhood, and his local livelihood.

He is a wise man. i think of him and his words often when i am so focused on an issue, when i see the world being violent and violated. All things are connected and most of the time we do not have the time, the desire, and to some the ability to see beyond our nose. One day, it will all catchup to us; as individuals and more so as governments.

I 100% agrees with noura, plus, we (our brain) sometimes make things up because we want them to be there.. the more obvious example would be LOVE! in love, as any body who've been in and out of it would know, you make good qualities and more common things between you and the person you love then already is.. vice versa for the people you dislike/hate..

I think the connections are always there, but when you focus on an issue you're paying more attention to it, hence casting more light on those shadowy connections...
