tip In the first part of the Matrix trilogy, "Morpheus" was telling "Neo": "I said I will tell you the truth, but I didn't say it is going to be easy". This brings out the difference between "knowing" and "experiencing". Do you think they are different. Can "knowing" have the same effect as "experiencing"?

Nope, experience has far more an effect than just knowing. There is a famous saying that goes something like this "You can't judge Hitler unless put in his shoes" or something, its an extreme i know but the point being is you will not really know how something is, feels, reacts until you experience it.

no ... and when we learn theory and application are two very different things.

 

experience I think is very important for the learning process.
