Clarification:

Thanks for asking for clarification, SheikH. I'm wondering which kinds of web 2.0 tools you've found to be the easiest and most fruitful ways to teach and learn with others DIRECTLY online. The opportunities we have to engage with each other directly using free or very cheap browser-based tools are amazing. Which ones are working best for you...and what do you like about them?

Meril, can you please elaborate a bit on your quest?

Hard question! For example, what sort of things do you want the students to do?

Share documents/ applications?

Engage in video discussions (if so, what's the max number of students you want at any one time)?

Use text based chat?

Give them lots of materials to read?

Get them to generate learning resources for themselves?

Something I've not thought of!

I never tried it, but i browsed through LearnHub.com and it looked very useful in concept.
