thank you everyone. Razan, if i take out my battery the lap top will not be stable, as in, it does not sit right on the table surface, it limps. i will invest more energy in complete charging and keeping away from electricty until almost run out. Again, thanks. if you learn more about thsi stuff, please tell me.

Take it out when its 100% charged if you want to use the power supply, if not just disconnect the power supply once your battery is at 100% charge.

this is a great quest D... I fried my last battery by keeping the laptop plugged in all the time and not letting the battery run and so when I needed it to it woudl noty work.

Today I charge and empty ... charge and emptyrarely do I use it plugged in and it gives me a good 2- 3 hours.

Razano you are saying for even more longivety I shoudl take uot the battery when its plugged in to the power supply?

Its best to disconnect the battery when you plug your laptop to electricity. Or take out the electricity cable once your battery is charged 100% and put it back when your battery is lets at 5% charge only.

I use a mac. The recommendation we have always gotten is to let the battery run down entirely at least once a month - then give it a full charge. Also, watch keeping it in the heat and cold (like if you leave it in your car for long periods of time). When using it, things like the backlighting can pull some energy. Also, if you have a wireless connection but don't need the network - turn it off. That pulls some too - as does playing music off a cd.
