i wish i was living in a musical in real life; where i can break into song and dance while driving: stop traffic, get out of the car, sing to the idiot drivers around me and give them all tickets, all while we are happily singing and dancing, jumping from one car hood to the others top, making music by slamming doors, honking horns, all of us would be so so happy.
It was a musical! Subtract that from a movie and you got a movie.
If you step into a musical, have fun and act like an idiot, like me.
It'll iron out the rough spots of our character.
Much to our dismay, we are derived from fun!
Whats sex? Pain?
err... no offense meant to the fine people of this forum from below... but the amount of emotional retards and inept people I have met in Jordan was alarming!!
I have been privileged to c both the stage play and later the movie... Both can be described as nothing but a classical in the making! Mark my words.
But I must admit, there is a certain freshness to it. Pure creativity mixed with familiar tunes. I have not seen anything like that since say the sound of music!!!
5 Stars recommendation! It is bound to provoke emotions in you even if you have been living in Jordan for all your life where your emotions have as much nourishing as a beautiful flower in the middle of the desert!!
i wanted to sing along aloud but i could not; i was trying to be polite to other movie watchers.
i loved that the main characters who are old could love and be loved. We forget that all people deserve love and loving. i wish we'd rethink what is old; maybe old should be around the age of 110!
Loved it. What a fabulous contemporary musical with an excellent cast! Ur right, very worth the cinema experience - and you just have to sing out loud all the way thru the end credits with Streep's delightful surprises :)
I had high expectations for this film and now I'm sure it's true, thanks for sharing :)
NOOOOOO, you have to watch this one at the movies! All cinemas are playing it in Amman. Trust me, the JD 5 will be worth it!
I wanna watch it, but I haven't had the chance to buy the DVD (The 1JD DVD :P)!
