tip Imagine that Steve Jobs is the CMO (or even the CEO) of Microsoft, What will be changed? Actually, I want to pose the question differently... Imagine Jobs as the CEO of any Arab company... what changes will he make :)

Well, I know that there are bigger systems that any CEO/CMO or any company operates within, but there is also some relative independence for persons/companies/industries that they can play within as well. What do you think, Zingo?

i dont think he can do any different because the problem not off our bosses but in our whole company

we have to use all the apple's team to make changes

I would agree with every thing, except for:

  • I think MS have more clear vision (business, not technical wise), jobs on the other hand are a swinger between a hardware company and a software provider.
  • MS have a great customer communication strategy with all the certifications, international events, online developers database that are second only to open source community.

Great Husam, but:

1. Jobs is even more totalitarian (I am sure you know that back in the early 80s he thought that Mac classic should be completely sealed, as it is PERFECT). He is also very stubborn as I hear.

2. If Jobs becomes CEO/CMO of MS, then:

  • MS will have a more clear vision
  • MS will have a better product line
  • MS will start having some innovation :)
  • MS will have a better customer communication strategy
  • MS products will start to be appealing, with better interfaces
  • (Balmer will be no longer able to enter any MS campus... :))
  • There will be no WiNdOwS.
  • There will be no Apple :)

3. Jobs as a CEO of an Arab company: Don't even think of it. However, if the immpossible can be realized, then he will:

  • change everything, i.e. EVERY THING
  • kick out asses (almost all)
  • create loyalty, culture, sense of pride, quality, elegance, I told you, everything.

:)

- Bill Gates is a totalitarian (when it comes to business)
- Steve Jobs is an elitist
If Bill Gates was to be the CEO/Founder of Apple, 85% of computer users will be using Macs and Safari now. Designers and Aristocrats will be using Windows :-p

If Jobs was the CEO of an Arab company? He’ll declare bankruptcy and dedicate his time to charity.
And since we’re talking about Jobs and Arabs, do you know that his biological father is Arab (most probably Syrian)?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Jobs#Early_years

If you decide to believe Wikipedia, that is :)

Apple is a brand that makes you feel excited to buy, Microsoft is a brands that tells you you can't go on with your business without having me.. that's the main difference between Gates/Balmer strategy and Job's.. that's why MS wins all the time.. especially in the business sector
